Notes:

Hot day with a solid wind, 20-25 mph and 40 mph gusts. Pond is in a flat open area with no protection from the wind. All of the odes photographed were on the up wind side of the pond where the plants were protected by the two foot, drop off, bank. Very few were patrolling, most were hanging on “for dear life”.

The color in the background of each of the photos is the true color of the water. Not sure of the cause, but definitely not natural.
