Photographing Odes in Flight
Dragonflies and Damselflies are spectacularly agile fliers. The construction of their four wings allow them to move, instantly, in any direction up, down, left, right, forward, and backward. That, coupled with the speed at which they move, makes it difficult for a photographer to capture an “in flight” image. Sometimes there is an element of luck involved.
